Zhao Wei
Extract from Pointed at Vicki Zhao-The young era of Swallow
Jiangsu Wenyi Publishing
To Tell you the truth, I don't really support the idea of publishing a biography about my own experience of growing up or similar biographical videos at this young of age. To me, the road ahead is very long, how will I walk them and what will be the result are still difficult questions. Thus, to make a conclusion presently seems a little bit too early.
After seeing so much flowers, hearing countless applause, I have came to realize that they are only temporary fame. Thus, on the contrary, I rather hear some criticisms, even if they are too extreme or very harsh to listen to. I won't mind. I think these criticisms can help me to clearly see myself, and prevent me from taking extra twists and less tumbles in life. I didn't have time to look over the context of the book, but only heard some parts from my parents. The author-Mr.Wang Yong Xiang is a good friend of my father. Since my parents trust him so much, for sure, I trust him too. But, I want to make a point that since he is a good friend of my parents, he must have wrote more good points about me than bad ones. So, when my readers read these books, keep in mind that I am not that good and I do have a lot of weaknesses. Also, there are parts written about my weakness. They came from the true perspective of caring, and I sincerely accept them. I hope that my readers will not misunderstand his good intentions.
In addition, I sincerely hope that my readers, when reading about my past road in life and of performing arts, will learn from my experiences and prevent similar mistakes. If you can do this, then I will feel very content.
Lastly, I want to thank JiangSu Literature Art Publisher and Mr. Wong Yong Xiang for all their efforts to publish this book; to thank all the fans for always giving me support, care, and love; and to thank all the administratives, teachers, classmates, coworkers, and the audiences for their care, protection, and advice. I deeply understand that if it wasn't for all of you, Zhao Wei will not be who I am today. I will put all my energy into my filming career, making more and better performances, to repay your kindess of nurturing me, and your love of caring for me.
