I would like to give some more suggestion after reading The Moon's article about Wei-wei's future.

Wei-wei is reaching her turning point now, so it makes many fans worried. It's a good phenomenon. It means that apart from voting, fans also show their careful thoughts and worries. Through discussion, we can tell Wei our opinion and suggestion. That's the best way to help her.
First, it is false to say that Wei is popular only for now, but not after 'Shaolin Soccer'. Filming Qiung-yao's drama is not the only way for keeping popularity.
If Wei has to open and new world, she should leave the shadow of Qiung-yao. Sooner is better than later, and not leave when she is out-dated. When she has high status in movie, she can repay to Qiung-yao and gain good reputation. If she still filming her drama now, she would seem stick to Qiung-yao and blunder away the good opportunities in movie.
Wei may film the movies that the directors are not so popular, and haven't had any awards before. It's because popular directors have their own style, it's hard to have breakthrough. If Wei follows their ways, no matter how good she acted, it's hard to surpass those actors under them with awards before. People would compare Wei to them, and say Wei is benefit from them. Not movies by famous directors can only have good comments.
Hong Kong is an important market, Wei should keep contact with entertainment sector in Hong Kong. Let Hong Kong people know you have status in movie sector in China, Hong Kong is just another market, then Hong Kong people may respect you. Afterwards, Wei can develop her career in Korea, Singapore, Europe and America. Japan is the last option, as people in China still have bad feeling towards Japan. Wei may be critizised by nonsense people, so her Taiwan agent should bear in mind this, and not look triumphant for entering Japanese market. The advert of Canon is a good example. The sentence printed 'Hong Kong and Taiwan are foreign countries' on the package aroused people to accuse Canon. Wei may be hard to continue to be their image girl again, so be careful of Japanese brand. Actually the Japanese stars like meteors, like Kimura. After Wei has developed markets in Europe and America, Japanese market is just a piece of cake. If Wei is succeeded now, it's just for short period. It would waste her valuable time.
For Wei herself, she should not be cutie and out-going anymore, as it made people think she is a naive kid. Through 'Love and Rain' and other deep-feeling movies, she should show her intelligence and silent, a feeling that 'above the herd' like people practicing Tai-Ji and Yoga (Wei should practise it more, they can improve health and temperament) If Wei treats people too kind, people would think she is foolish, no talent and not consent her popularity. Don't think that the expectation is too high for Wei, she has the potential to show these characteristics. Wei wants to make herself more common, but just after people recognize her beauty. If Wei doesn't dress up herself, people would still don't think she is beautiful. Some actress didn't act well, but won the title 'Beauty' for their heavenliness, praised by a crowd of male reporters. Wei seems only shooting for Qi-qi's magazines. So Wei should think about her every image on the media deeply. I agree with Cecilia, she should dress high-class clothing to show her high-class temperament. Why she always be common person? Kindness and high-class temperament are not contradictory. It would only double the benefit.
From Kun-ming Net, We know Wei has a brain trust, but it's not enough. The brain trusters don't know the people in basic level. We can say we are her brain trusters of basic level. My proposal to Wei is: after "Love and Rain" and "Shaolin Soccer", Wei's popularity would be raised, then she should only attend big shows, not to attend press conferences and commercial shows. She should keep a distance from media. Don't worry about no news, reporters would chase you for news. Less but good news are better than much and ordinary ones. Every year take one to three adverts of high-class products, be the cover girls of several high-class magazines. Take time to do well on movies, even one movie could let her appear on international stage in half of success. Afterwards she can choose good movies and grasp good time. Take good drama some time, one to three movies a year. It's unnecessary to think how to keep the popularity. Even Shu-qi, from three-class could jump to skillful actress, I believe Wei could success also. Now many ordinary news of Wei don't interest me anymore. I prepared for Wei's silent, forget the past and start again. I feel that Wei is working hard for herself. If she succeeded eventually, everybody would no longer remember her failure. I hope Wei could change for herself with courage and have a new start.
