趙薇不是一個簡單的女孩,但肯定是一個善良的女孩。

I have always admired certain type of people who are kind hearted by nature, possess a sense of righteousness, but at the same time, are immune to attacks of evil minded individuals who resent their goodness. It is due to the quick thinking and sharp instinct of these individuals that enables them to deflect away any form of criticisms from their enemies, whether it is direct or indirect. I used to think that this type of people only existed in story books- until the existence of Vicki Zhao. Then I realized that such people do exist in the real world!
I only started to take a liking to Vicki Zhao when I watched 'Huan Zhu Ge Ge' on television. But after seeing how graciously she dealt with the reporters who were vicious to her and made her cry on the Golden Eagle Award, she had made such an impression on me that I couldn't help but to admire her. Since last year, my admiration for Vicki Zhao has certainly grown in leaps and bounds.
As I had said before (in another article), 'An angel does not fall from Heaven every year!' And that is the truth! By the some token, one might see the appearance of a special phenomenon like Vicki perhaps only once in every 50 years! And that is not an exaggeration! You might say that Vicki was just plain lucky because she happened to be at the right place and at the right time, and that's why she became a star overnight! But how many beautiful girls are smart enough to seize the opportunity and be so well prepared like Vicki? Many girls are very pretty, but how many of them are as intelligent as Vicki? Some of them might have both the beauty and the intelligence, but they might not have the lucky break like Vicki's! Do not look down on Vicki just because she has shot to stardom in such a short time: She is not a flash in a pan! She's here to stay because she's got the Right Stuff! Vicki came from an obscure small town and through her own efforts, she had made her way into the most prestigious Motion Picture University in China. It showed that she's got stamina, determination and an abundance of Can Do spirit!
Vicki also has charisma galore: her wealthy boyfriend fell for her way before she became famous, she makes friend with big named stars such as Andy Lau, Stephen Chow, Jackie Chan and Jiang Wan... Needless to say, all the people mentioned above are highly regarded by our so called 'Film Critics' of China. They are all intelligent, experienced actors and directors who are very good at their crafts. One can't suck up to them and hope to be treated as peers unless they have a sense that you are special and talented. Well, Vicki has that natural aura of a star and possesses such an impressive personality that being part of their elite circles easily. Also Vicki has the power that even stuck-up people turn into ordinary people when they come face to face with her! Some simple-minded reporters like to say that Vicki deliberately falls in love with the actors leads in every movie just to generate gossips to hold on to her popularity. How stupid of them!
Do you really think that Vicki stoops so low just to be popular?
As a famous Chinese director Fung Xiao Kong once said, "To be a stripper in front of a crowd, you've got to have more than just a thick skin!" Many second rated stars try to make gossips on themselves to get some attention, but many people just ignore them! It is because those people have no star qualities, no charisma, therefore, not matter how hard they try, not many people recognize them. Whereas any news on Vicki, whether it's true or not, they always on the front page on the newspaper! Subconsciously, some people have the misconceptions that nice people will always be picked on, whereas if you are tough, nobody will dare to step in your path.
Therefore, when they see Vicki is being harassed, they feel sorry for her, but at the same time they feel it is understandable because Vicki is so kind. But when Vicki stands up to the bad guys, they find it hard to accept the fact that she can be so 'tough'. That kind of thinking is so warped! It's too stereotypical and unfair to Vicki! Everybody here has read 'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table', I presume. Well then, I'll use the world of Medieval knights to substitute the modern world to make an analogy here. Being on top of the entertainment world is like being a Knight of the Round Table... the most esteemed position a knight can attain in the Medieval world. One must have supreme abilities to be included in the (Acting) Round Table. Among those who make the grade: some have superb acting abilities, some are plain lucky, some come from famous acting families, some do special favours to the right people and some had the right connections. Then there are the rare individuals who have the awesome combination of star qualities, loads of talents, and dogged determination to be their best, that commended respect from their colleagues. These people cannot help but to become an influential Knight of the Round Table because they are the best of the bunch! I feel that Vicki is indeed that type of 'rare' individual.
A reporter, Tsai Yao, of the 'Southern Metro News' had said it all, "To be a Star for Life, you must have good characters!" Vicki has dreams, big dreams. If you had read her biography, 'Clicking Vicki Zhao!', you would know that when she was young, she had once asked her uncle, "Does Whampo River lead to the sea and does the sea eventually connect to the ocean?" That's why the famed actor, Jiang Wan once commented that Vicki is very clever and ambitious and that she always surprise us. That's exactly what I have been saying all along as well: Vicki might suddenly decide to give up showbiz and study aboard to pursue another goal, or she might choose a role in a movie so challenging that no one else would dare to pick up! All in all, do not bother to question why she's doing what she's doing. Do not be too surprised at all, she has her reason to do things. I truly believe that with her enormous potential and magnetic personality, in 3 to 5 years, all the reporters who have been saying over and over that she could only portray 'Little Swallow', will be astonished by what she can accomplish. Vicki, in real life, is not a silly girl like the one in 'Huan Zhu Ge Ge', she's 1000 times smarter! Vicki got wonderful acting abilities, star presence, leadership qualities, positive towards pressure, and definitely, she's got a heart of gold - this girl does not have a mean bone in her body!
Though Zhang Zi Yi seems have the upper hand right now, in the long run, she's under Vicki! Everyone has different definitions of being happy. Ex-British Prime Minister, Mrs. Thatcher; the Ex-Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Madame Anson Chan are both successful career women and they seem to lead a fairly happy life as well. I think the happiness every talented people have is make good use of God's gift, carry on, find their own path and do their best. You can also make your dream come true and find your happiness. Remember, a fan of Vicki, Cecilia, had said once, "Vicki was born with a face of good fortune!"
I hope Vicki will not see this article, or else I'll be very embarrassed! Vicki would probably questions, "Why are you making things so complicated than what they are?" I have to make declaration that I wrote this article in a moment of jest--- don't take it too seriously!"
