When I first met Zhao Wei, I was a programme assistant for program "Lucky 97" of Hu Nan Financial TV Station (HNFTV). At that time, "Princess Huanzhu" I (HZGG) had not been shown in Mainland China, yet. That's why she was just known as a student of Beijing Film College. Cause HZGG was co-produced by HNFTV and a Taiwan media company, it had already been very successful in Taiwan, therefore, the director of HNFTV invited her cordially to participate the famous program "Lucky 97". At the first sight, I impressed on her as a very vivid and straightforward girl. I could remember clearly that she wore a tight check shirt, with hair straightly hanged down on her shoulders. Her eyes were so big and they were sparkling with desire and curiosity to the procedure of the program. She was so friendly to everyone, the "Little Swallow" style smile could always be found on her face. As a programme assistant, I was busy around and so much willing to take a look of her friendly smile. All in a sudden, I found I was fond of this girl, so in my free time, I would like to offer her a cup of tea or drink, and greeted her with concern. Before the program started lively, I wished her having a good performance. That night's program was much more successful contributed to her excellent performance. Hunan audience immediately liked this outstanding and naturally mannered girl. After the program, Zhao Wei felt so excited that she called her families and friends, telling them how much fun she had found here, and what cheered her up more was a VCD player she won in the game of the program! That night, I took the responsibility to send her back to the hotel. To carry that VCD player became part of my duty, although I was quite of a skinny and deficient type. She felt so worried about that. Well, I comforted her, said "Never mind. It's my pleasure." The second time we met, I found she still remembered me well. At that time, I already became a host for program "Fashionable Media" produced by HNFTV and was sent to interview HZGG II crew. Zhao Wei recognized me at the first glance, "You are the programme assistant of HZFTV, aren't you?", "What brings you here today?" All in a surprise, I was staring at her, Yeah, it's me. You still remember me? Now I am a host!" "Congratulations! Are you here to interview me?" She asked cheerfully. Then, we were chatting like buddies. She cooperatively received our interview and after that she even introduced her co-workers to us, such as Alec Su, Zhou Jie and Ruby Lin, which made our program accomplished perfectly. I told myself, such a warm-hearted girl would definitely become popular. No sooner, along with the broadcast of HZGG I and II, Zhao Wei surely became one of the top stars in Asia. I also had more chance to co-work with her in various programs. One program was so special that I will never forget. In the program "Super Headquarters for Happiness", I took an "impossible mission" to search for Ms. Xia, Vicki's high-school teacher. During the searching process, I had chance to know more about Vicki's growth and her sweet family. I think there must be some kind of bond between Zhao Wei and me. I saw her and Ms. Xia, who had lost touch with her for many years, hugged tightly with each
other, and they both burst into tears. I could understand more of her true feeling. At that moment, there was an entirely true Zhao Wei presented in front of all the audience! Sincere wishes to her being so true forever!
