Q1 : Does Zhao Wei visit this site often, and does she read the fans' messages here?
Ans. Zhao Wei knows the site address,and has even come to leave messages here. But as you know, she is very busy in her work, so her frequency of visit to this site is beyond our control.
Q2 : How can I contact Vicki? Do you know her email, ICQ, QQ or corresponding address? Does she have a blog?
Ans. As far as we know, except for leaving messages in our forum once in a while, Vicki does not have any public email addresses. As for her corresponding address, you can look for it in our "Send a Letter to Vicki" section. She has a blog at: http://zhaoweispace.blog.sohu.com.
Q3 : I wrote a letter to Vicki, and sent it to your email address, how come she did not respond to me?
Ans. Zhaoweinetfamily email box is solely for the purpose of contacting our webmasters, Vicki will not personally collect her mails there, and we will not redirect mails to her.
Q4 : Can you please tell me how is Vicki recently?
Ans. Please visit our various sections - World News, Discussion Forum, Wei Wei's Words to Us, Vicki Latest Happenings, you should be able to find the answers there.
Q5 : Is Zhaoweinetfamily a fans club of Vicki? How can I become a member?
Ans. Zhaoweinetfamily is solely a website of Vicki operated by her fans. We have no sub-websites, nor
do we have set up any local fans club in any district. We do not have any membership policy, and we do not collect any fees. All webmasters and helpers of our site are serving on a voluntary basis, and our doors are always open for those applicants who would like to join our helpers team.
Q6 : Why can't I register in the discussion forum? When will it be opened for public registration?
Ans. As a matter of resource limitation and lacking of helpers, we can only open the registration for a few days once in a while. We will pre-announce in the forum a few days before the public registration, please stay tune!
Q7 : How to participate in the discussion?
Ans. Forum README

  1. Only registered users can submit the post
  2. Only one username (and email) per person (except webmasters and helpers). We have the right to suspend your account at any time for misuse.
  3. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a password. Please use this information to log in and complete the registration process. If you cannot find the confirmation email in your Inbox, please try to find it in Junk, Trash, Bulk or Spam folder. If you do not receive the email, please go to Register->Forgot Password, there will be another email send to you to complete the process.
  4. If you are unable to register, or unable to get any of the above methods to work, please contact us at Admin contact(联络版主).
  5. You can change your password and other information by going to the link in your name at the right top of the forum page --->Change password(更改密码).
  6. We will constantly clear up users who have not logged in for a long time.
Q8 : Are there any rules in the discussion forum?
Ans. Actually, we are rather liberal in supplying a forum where everybody has freedom of speech. However, in the interest of Zhao Wei, we have always encouraged discussions to be conducted in a cultured, magnanimous and polite manner. And please note following :

  1. Please abide by to the internet norm by giving all necessary credits to this forum and authors when reposting their work.
  2. We welcome any constructive criticism made on Zhao Wei. However, if there are any defamation, rumours, personal attacks (including web administrators, visitors and other artists); any abusive and vulgar languages; any malicious, instigating and controversial topics, as well as any subject or message which deem to be inapplicable to discuss (including the visitors’ personal conversations and meaningless words left to Zhao Wei ).; the web administrators will delete all these messages without prior notice or explanation.
  3. This discussion forum all is developed, constructed and managed by the administrator , therefore we certainly do not need to strive for any rating or promoting system. We earnestly ask everybody to value our web resources, do not upload avatars, indecent images, or non-Zhao Wei related images and information, do not post any meaningless, chating and seperate message here and there. Otherwise, administrators shall have the right to delete these message and even ban the account.
  4. Please note that any advertisement/commercial irrelevant to Zhao Wei as the spokesperson of any commodity as well as illegal films/music download links are strictly prohibited to be posted in this forum. Please also keep self-respect and any violation will bring IP banned immediately.
  5. The account is non-sharable. Once we know somebody has used your account other than yourself, we will ban the account.
  6. To protect your own interest, and to avoid unnecessary trouble, please DO NOT publicize your personal information on the net, such as your address and telephone number.
  7. When Zhao Wei and Chen Rong posting messages, all replies must defend the order, if anyone starts new message above their message, they will all be deleted. Obstinate users will be banned temporarily. To maintain accessibility, those who continually refresh the page will be banned by IP automatically.
  8. Before reposting any topics, asking questions, or contacting administrators in the forum, please try to do a search from the form provided (right top corner in the forum page) or look at this FAQ first.
  9. To provide a convenience to visitors, we have links to web translation services on top of the forum.

Q9 : How do I post a picture on the forum board?
Ans. All pictures/photos on the internet has an URL address.

To obtain the URL, right click on the picture, select [Properties] and you will see the URL (e.g. http://www.zhaoweinetfamily.com/vickixxx.jpg)

To post the picture on the forum board, type in the HTML codes <img src="URL of picture"> in the box "Message". If you wish to post pictures or wallpapers residing on your PC, please use "Upload image" function in the zone of discussion , but only limited upload JPG, GIF and PNG images. The maximum size for an images is 2048 x 2048 px and 1000 KB.
Q10 : Why do I see wrong code (e.g. non eligible chinese characters) when I view the webpages?
Ans. This is because you have not selected the appropriate "Encoder" for your internet browser. To select
the appropriate browser, please follow the steps below :

Microsoft Internet Explorer
: Select [View], Right click on [Encoding], Select the appropriate encoding, e.g. Chinese Simplified (GB2312) / Chinese Traditional (Big 5)  / Unicode (utf-8). (Depending on the version of Windows or browser you are using, you can also preset your language default to either one of the two Chinese codes by changing the order of the languages: click Tools, General, Languages, then choose and add Chinese (China), Chinese (Taiwan), Chinese (Hong Kong) one by one. Move the four language codes (including English) up or down to set the order of preference showing up in your browser. Do not forget to check "Auto-Select" in the "View" menu too).

Netscape browser: Select [View], [Character Set] and then the appropriate selection, e.g. Traditional Chinese (Big 5) / Simplified Chinese (GB2312) / Unicode (utf-8)
Q11 : How can I pass on news reports or fans' articles to you?
Ans. Please either post the reports or fans' articles on our forum www.netfamily8787.com, or you can choose to e-mail them to us. We will make a selection before uploading them on to our "World Vicki News" and "Fans' Lovely Articles" sections respectively.
Q12 : How can one become a helper in this site?
Ans. First of all, we like to thank all fans who have expressed their interest and enthusiasm to help out in our site. However, before you decide to offer to become a helper, we would like you to consider and see if you can commit to/meet with the following requirements:

  1. You can commit your time to Zhao Wei and her fans on a long-term basis.
  2. You are a matured and responsible person, and are willing to perform the duties assigned to you by the webmasters.
  3. You have certain standard of bilingual skills (English and Chinese, or one of these with another language)
  4. You have interest in translating news and fans' lovely articles.
  5. You are knowledgeable with computer media software (such as webpage design, creation of audio video files, picture design, etc.)

Q13 : How long will the webmaster answer questions posted in the discussion forum?
Ans. As all of us are volunteers in this site, we can only answer questions in our free time. We hope that everybody can understand our situation.
Q14 : How can we contact some of the helpers of this site?

Q15 : If I would like to comment on the operation of the site and/or webmasters, what can I do?
Ans. Please send your comments to our email address at Contact Us Form. For sure, the webmasters will read them, but there is no guarantee that a response will be made.
Q16 : Where do the articles in "Fans' Lovely Articles" come from?
Ans. They come from 2 main sources:

Select from other Zhao Wei sites

Select suitable essays from the postings in our forum, and translate them into English whenever possible
Q17 : Why are the translated English news and fans' articles updated so slowly?
Ans. Please understand that Zhao Wei is a very newsworthy artiste, and there are articles of her almost everyday. Furthermore, our translation team consists of volunteers only, hence although they have spent much time translating the "latest" news, even newer reports will have been out by the time they finish their translations. Of course, our ideal situation is that one day we will have enough manpower to help out, and then we will be able to do the translation within the same day.
Q18 : Why are there no photograph section on this site?
Ans. Our site is more inclined towards the collection and updating of Zhao Wei's news and information. Our "Links" section lists down many other sites that contain the photograph section. Hence, we feel that there is no need to replicate the same in our site. We hope all visitors to this site will understand
this.
Q19 : I would like to add my Zhao Wei website into the "Links" section in this website. How do I go about doing it?
Ans. Please register your interest in the application in "Links" section, and we will try and process it as soon as possible. Do also remember to add our address in your website as a counter-link. If there are any changes to be made, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can make the relevant changes. Thank you.
Q20 : How often is the site updated?
Ans. The webmasters will try their best to update the site, whenever there are new reports, information and articles.
Q21 : Can the webmasters help to contact the author of any particular fan article for me?
Ans. As we select the fans' articles either from our forum or other sites, it is not easy for us to contact the author unless he/she happens to be one of the helpers. However, we suggest that you can try to search via the "Links" section, and who knows, you might be able to contact them.
Q22 : How can I view the avi clips?
Ans. Please download the clips and use Windows Media Player Version 8.x or above to view. (Realplayer not supported, Windows Media Player can be downloaded from the site of Microsoft)

  1. Right click the link with the mouse and choose "save as" or "save link as". The Windows Media Player should have the required video codec included. If not, download the DivX Mpeg 4 Video Codec, and install properly according to the "install help.txt" included. (not Direct X). or

Ans. Try to use Streambox Vcr or Net Transport.
