Zhao Wei and Chen Kun had been classmates in university for four years, but their first cooperation was to act as a couple in [Painted Skin]. Has been turned into a good wife and a devoted mother by Chen Jiashang (the director), now Zhao Wei felt a little mazed to decide to act in [Painted Skin], "I came to this team in a strange combination of circumstances, at that time, I didn't know what magic the director has made. I heard that I would play opposite my old classmate Chen Kun, I felt it must be fun, so I came."
About how to act as a good wife and a devoted mother , Zhao Wei who has always been tomboyish first refused to be dressed up when she got to the scene, "When I am dressed up, everybody would find that this is a good gentle woman, then to act or not is not important. In fact, the emotion of this woman is really complicated, she loves a man, and to be loved by the man; her husband has been attracted by another woman, she wants to take her husband back; and she can't be too fierce to that woman, because that woman is not a kind one....... I try to present the intelligence of modern woman in this role, and let this part be a little out of line, but not off the track."
Chen Kun: Hasn't thought to act as a couple with Zhao Wei
In the new version of [Painted Skin], the leading actor, the scholar, also had been turned into "a general with the temperament of a scholar". Wearing a piece of armor, to get entangled in wicked demon, Chen Kun exclaimed "So fresh". "I thought the director had put his own minds about love, life into the role of 'Wang Sheng'. I didn't worry about it , because the director himself is even more worried about that." Talking about acting with the three famous actresses, Chen Kun smiled and said "We all know each other very well". "Though we all cooperate for the first time, we are closed in persons." When he talked about his classmate Zhao Wei, Chen Kun was
laughing up his sleeve: "I haven't thought we act as a couple in the very first cooperation."
