Zhao Wei updated her blog yesterday. As Carina Lau's friend, Zhao Wei did not attend the wedding in Bhutan. Instead, the ill-healthed Zhao Wei took days off to stay at home. Zhao Wei together with Faye Wong, Carina Lau, and Na Ying make up the rather well-known Diva Group. Zhao Wei and Carina Lau are two friends who are on very good terms. Zhao Wei once said that she cannot accept playing in intimate scenes with Tony Leung because she was Carina Lau's good friend. As a good friend who encountered most important date in Carina Lau and Tony Leung's life, Zhao Wei was unable to attend the wedding banquet in Bhutan due to shooting a TV production and attending events. After Zhao Wei had just finished shooting the new series [A Woman's Epic Poem], she returned to her hometown Wuhu to attend a scholarship event. It was previously rumored that since Zhao Wei was the only single, unmarried good friend of Carina Lau, it would be highly probable that she would be Carina's bridesmaid. But now, the rumor is proved to be nothing more than a rumor.
Zhao Wei disclosed in her blog entry that she has been by her parents' side each and every day, and felt "full of patience and happiness." She acted as a tour guide, bringing her parents and her little niece shopping, drinking coffee and eating out in restaurants... she said, "It's until now that I can finally appreciate the feeling of such a mudane life." However, because she over-worked herself while shooting [A Woman's Epic Poem], she caught the cold right after the shooting ended, and still had to take all kinds of medicine. She also hoped that she can recover soon.

Lately, my conscience has been peacefully enjoying my summer life.
Being with mom and dad, letting the days go by in a quiet and heart-warming manner has filled me with patience and happiness, satisfied over their cheerfulness and excitements. All these years, this was my first time as their guide, driving them around shopping, across the streets and alleys, all the way until the sun set. Then staring at all kinds of annoying cold medicines on my bed cabinet until I fell asleep~ It's until now that I can finally appreciate the feeling of such a mudane life.
Yay~no need to worry when to get up, nothing that absolutely needs to be done, and one single task can be done in the course of several days, oh, good times. Yesterday afternoon, in order to make my family feel like they are taking a vacation with me, I brought them to a Southeast Asian style cafe. In less than half an hour, dad had already fell sound asleep on the huge, vintage soft couch. Gossiping with mom over the romantic stories of dad and her, and fighting over the same piece of chocolate cake with my niece. In the fitting room of the mall, I watched on as mom tried on clothes that I picked out for her, while as the same time, reminding her to be aware of the advantages of giving birth to a daughter. Can a son accompany you to try out clothes and buy clothes? I was still holding a grudge with respect to the statement that my mom once made, saying that my brother had given her great emotional comforts. At dusk, rain began precipitating again. By pure chance, I was able to drive to the designated restaurant. It has been a year since I last saw Jian Ni, the owner, who was still good looking and elegant in taste. She prepared a super elegant room for me. Half an hour later, director Xia Gang arrived by taxi with his wife and their two daughters. During the time the production was shot in Anhui, as a show of hospitality, mom and dad always wanted to treat everyone to their best dishes. Unforturnately, due to the tight schedule of the production, Their wish was finally realized then.
I hope that I can recover soon, and spend more energy on making my family happier. In the evening, I still have to attend a meeting for my album, but in comparison to the stress during filming, this was nothing short of a very enjoyable, poetic moment.
