Zhao Wei had already arrived in Sichuan yesterday to take part in the "Sichuan on our minds---Mid-Automn Heart Warming Moon Cake Event". Within the time span of one day, Zhao Wei arrived in Beichuan county of Mianyang city, and distributed the relief supplies and moon cakes to the earthquake victims.

To attend the event, Zhao Wei and the staff headed to the airport on the 9th at 3:00 in the morning to arrive in Chengdu at 9:55AM, and then there was a two-hour drive before arriving in Mianyang. After a brief rest, Zhao Wei arrived at the relief center in the city, where she was very moved by the warm welcome she received from the locals. The earthquake victims lined up orderly as Zhao Wei, in a yellow T-shirt, personally distributed not only the winter coats and thick beddings necessary for the approaching winter,but also moon cakes which symbolize family reunion. At night, Zhao Wei and the gang headed to the Electronic School where they spent time with 800 students for a Mid-Automn Festival Gala. She also lighted the Kong Ming Lantern (Translator's note: aka Sky Lantern, or in plain terms, lanterns that are released into the sky which carried messages of blessings) to bestow blessings for the victims.

This morning, Zhao Wei came to Beichuan county. With her was Hong Kong's renown star Anita Yuen. Zhao Wei expressed, "Mid-Automn Festival is a time for family reunion, but Sichuan had endured such massive natural disaster. This time, the "Sichuan on our minds---Mid-Automn Heart Warming Moon Cake Event" has allowed me to come to the disaster-striken region to be close to the victims and do something heart-warming for them. Surpassing the original purpose of the festival, all these are things that we should do for the victims on a long-term basis."
